Meet who got this started.
Hello,
My name is Amanda, I grew up on the TN/KY state line. Spending most of my childhood at my Grandparents farm in KY. I loved everything farm from the moment I was old enough to walk the farm with Grandpa. I am probably the only kid that being grounded meant I couldn't do chores.
Once you start raising your own food and you start seeing the differences in commercial vs. home grown vegetables, eggs, and meat; That will start to spiral into seeing the difference in everything. All the unnecessary preservatives, chemicals, and GMO that cause more harm than good.
That's why I am truly passionate about this business and everything it stands for. I trust God to equip me with all that I need, and He has provided every day. Fun fact about me, my favorite bible verses are Psalms 27:1-14 . The last couple verses read "I am certain that I will see the Lord's goodness in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and courageous. Wait for the Lord."
Our Story
How Simply Set Apart Was Born
Simply Set Apart began with a simple but powerful belief, that what we bring into our homes should nourish, not harm, and that God’s creation already provides everything we need.
For a long time, I knew I was called to build something meaningful for families and for the future, even before I knew what that “something” would be. Simply Set Apart was not built from a business idea first. The name came before the product. It was placed on my heart before I could see the full picture.
At first, I believed Simply Set Apart would just be goat milk focused soaps, bombs, lotions, etc. But over time, God began opening doors that reshaped the vision entirely , guiding me toward sheep, pasture, and a deeper stewardship of land and animals.
Finding dairy sheep was not easy. But when the right flock came, it was clear provision, and with them came a new understanding of what this business was truly meant to become.
Sheep milk skincare became a new beginning, but not the end.
Simply Set Apart is growing into a heritage farm and apothecary, raising pasture sheep, crafting heirloom skincare, and building a legacy rooted in nourishment, stewardship, and simplicity.
This is not just a business. It is a calling.
A calling to return to honest food, to steward land with care, to build something that cares for families today and generations to come.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord."
~ Jeremiah 29:11
